Description: Avignonesi is the leading estate in Montepulciano and their world class Vin Santo is the most sought after in Tuscany and Italy.

The grapes are picked in September and dried on straw mats for 6 months.  The wine is fermented very slowly before being aged for 8 to 9 years in caratelli and then bottled for 12 months prior to  release.  

The wine is deep amber in colour with an intense bouquet of dried apricots, spice and vanilla.  On the palate it is unctuous, rich and full bodied with incredible length and acidity.

The wine should be served in a wide glass at just below room temperature.
