Description:
This unique dessert wine is made from bush vines planted on the Rietvallei Estate in 1908, the oldest Red Muscadel vineyard in South Africa.
The golden red colour of the old bush vines looks sparkling fresh in the glass. When swirling, tears of glycerol are evident against the edges which is very important to the smoothness of the wine.
On the nose Muscat flavours and the botrytis character are evident. Full bodied, rich, yet gentle on the palate the wine lingers with its complex raisiny sweetness and offers lots of red summer fruits. Beautifully balanced. Regional Trophy Winner on Decanter’s World Wine Awards.
