Isole e Olena is one of the most highly regarded estates in Tuscany and is famous for producing a modern, fruit driven Vin Santo. The estate name was conceived when the De Marchi family merged the two estates Isole and Olena together in the 1960’s.
This wine is deep amber in colour. Sweet and intense with a caramel, nutty character on the nose. It has a sherry like mouth-feel but with plenty of fruit, good concentration and a long finish.
The wine will benefit from decanting at least 30 minutes prior to drinking and will age beautifully. An exceptional wine.
